Online PDF Password & Watermark Remover

Desktop app terms of use

The desktop app is a paid batch tool. Please read these terms before using it; installing or using it means you accept them.

What these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Shenzhen Hongshu Technology Co., Ltd. about the PDF Password & Watermark Remover Windows desktop app (the app). Installing, copying or using the app means you have read and accept them; if you do not, stop using the app and uninstall it.

The licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own document work or inside your organisation. The licence is tied to a membership account and its devices; you may not rent, resell, redistribute or share the app with third parties.

What you may not do

You may not: (1) reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law expressly allows it; (2) remove or alter copyright, trademark or licence notices; (3) bypass the membership check, copy a licence or use a cracked build; (4) use the app on documents you have no right to handle, to open files someone else encrypted, or to get around technical protection measures they put in place; (5) use the app for unlawful purposes.

Licence and the perpetual membership

The desktop app is a paid batch tool: you need a perpetual membership before it will process files. Once installed you can open it, add files and change settings; pressing Start checks the entitlement and, without one, points you to the purchase page. The perpetual membership is a one-off payment that stays valid, tied to your membership account and a set number of devices; after changing machines you can manage signed-in devices in the account centre. Prices, available plans and offers are those shown on the purchase page, and purchases made through Microsoft Store (whose in-app purchase covers perpetual products only) are also subject to Microsoft's payment and refund rules, while purchases through the web checkout follow the refund rules stated on that page.

If you would rather not buy

You can use the free web version instead (the online tool on the home page): it processes one file at a time and needs no account. The web version and the desktop app are separate services; the web version follows the privacy notice and terms of service, not these terms.

Files and results

Keep your own originals and backups. Watermarks are detected by fixed rules, so the app can miss one or remove something it should not; open the result before you rely on it and use Verify output when in doubt. The app does not promise that a result suits a particular purpose and is not liable for damaged files, removed content or missing backups.

Privacy

Files are processed on your machine and never uploaded. The network data the membership check needs, and how long it is kept, are described in the desktop app privacy policy.

Updates

We may release new versions to fix problems or change features. Microsoft Store builds update themselves; with the installer you download and install new versions yourself. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the terms in force at that time.

Intellectual property

The software, interface, icons and documentation belong to us or to their respective owners. Bundled third-party components are licensed under their own terms; see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without express or implied warranty of fitness, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors. Use it in line with the law where you are; warranties that cannot be excluded by law are unaffected.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and our total liability for the app is capped at what you actually paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Loss caused by unlawful use or by breaking these terms is yours.

Termination

If you break these terms we may end your licence; you may also uninstall the app and stop using it at any time. The licence grant, intellectual property, warranty and liability sections survive termination.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties should first try to settle any dispute by discussion; failing that, it goes to the competent people's court in Shenzhen.
